Baptism of the Holy Spirit Class
BAPTISM IN THE HOLY SPIRIT // Saturday, January 31 | 9 AM - 12 PM | Join us as we explore what Jesus meant by being "baptized in the Holy Spirit" (Acts 1:5). We'll examine scriptures, discuss its impact on the early church, and consider its role today. Speaking in tongues will be addressed thoughtfully, and participants may seek the baptism in the Holy Spirit if they choose—no pressure! Pastor John Cashdollar will lead the study. Save the date!
On Mission Together Class
ON MISSION TOGETHER //
Sunday, February 1 & 8 | 9 AM | Are you curious about Christian Missions but don't know where to start? Are you thinking about participating in a LWF short-term missions trip? Are you new to LWF and would like to find out more about our global missions partners? Join us for 'On Mission Together' a new two-part class with Pastor Claire that provides an introduction to missions at LWF.
We'll be looking at God's heart for mission throughout scripture, along with the current state of global Christian missions and what LWF does specifically in the area of missions and outreach. Middle and high school students are welcome to attend, and no prior knowledge of missions is needed.

Reading Scripture Through Jewish Eyes
Ever wish the Bible felt fresh again? This six-week class invites you to read Scripture with new eyes by learning to set aside our Western worldview and see through the eyes of the ancient Jewish reader. You’ll discover connections you may have missed, gain simple and practical tools for reading with greater attentiveness, and experience a renewed sense of wonder in God’s Word.

Thanksgiving Eve Service
Wednesday, November 26 | 7 PM | This special evening is devoted to testimonies from people in the congregation. We invite you to come with a grateful heart, share your own thankful testimony, and bring a generous offering. Every dollar collected will be donated to support those in need within our congregation. We look forward to thanking Jesus for all He has done!

Food Drive for the Backpack Society
November 5 - November 23 | We’re partnering with the Backpack Society to help local families affected by the freeze of SNAP/EBT food assistance. This organization serves children in Douglas County, Littleton, and Englewood school districts who are facing food insecurity—helping them thrive both at school and at home.
Bring your donations to the Missions Table in the upstairs hallway from Wednesday, November 5, through Sunday, November 23.

Ideas for Holiday Outreach

Women's Self-Defense Class
Saturday, November 1 | 10 - 11 AM | Ages 12 and up | Ladies, join us for a fun hour together learning the basics of self-defense. Wear your comfortable clothing.
You will be asked to sign a waiver at the start of class | No charge to attend.
Renovare Book Club
Our book club is an intentional journey to help you recognize and respond to God's voice. We will read four books (In Search of God's Will by Trevor Hudson, Let God by Winn Collier, How to Hear God by Peter Greig, and At the Masters Feet by Sadhu Sundar Singh) in a journey of deepening friendship and conversation with God. We will start reading October 6 and would love for you to join! We will read four books from October through May and meet on the fourth Monday of each month at 7 PM (our first meeting is October 27) to discuss.

Truth Rising
Sunday, October 12 | 12:15 PM | Youth Room | Join us for pizza and a viewing of Truth Rising, the documentary by Focus on the Family and the Colson Center for Christian Worldview.
Western Civilization is at a crossroads, but the people of God are not powerless! Truth Rising will show you the path forward. When believers like you step boldly into God’s calling, you can be an agent of change right where He has placed you. This film tells the stories of ordinary people who chose faith over fear and became catalysts for renewal in their communities. Now it’s your turn.
The 90-min film is appropriate for high school age and older. Child care available. $5 per person.

Beginning Sunday, September 28 | 9 AM | Six Weeks | Explore who Jesus is together by looking at a story about Him each week and talking about it in a simple way. We will learn to listen to God as He speaks in Scripture and through His Son.
