Many of us would rather avoid the subject, but Jesus raised it frequently. He did so because how we use money is such an accurate reflection of our hearts...and our hearts are His real passion.
Am I fearful or do I trust God and His Word? Am I selfish or cheerfully generous? Do I drift in my own direction or am I obedient to God's instruction? Is it about me or is Jesus Christ really my loving owner and master? All of these questions may be reliably answered...just by observing our tithing, giving, and money management patterns.
That's why money was important to Jesus, and why our financial choices are important to all of us. Our money is really about our hearts.
